Vision, Values & Mission

MISSION:
Our mission is to preserve nature, celebrate cultural heritage, and expand educational opportunities. We strive for a world where natural landscapes thrive, cultural diversity is cherished, and education is accessible to everyone. The Brigadier Boinett Foundation has become a leading organization in Western Kenya, focusing on the following key areas:

Nature Conservation:

  • Promoting high standards for the care and welfare of captive wildlife, in collaboration with KWS

  • Supporting the development of animal medicine and therapies

  • Setting standards for the sustainable trade of wildlife, including ostriches, quails, crocodiles, chameleons, and snakes

Cultural Preservation:

  • Safeguarding the indigenous cultures of the local communities

  • Nurturing and promoting sports and cultural talents

  • Preserving and cultivating indigenous food and medicinal plants

Educational Empowerment:

  • Offering scholarship programs to support students’ education

  • Providing school feeding programs to enhance student wellbeing

  • Improving school infrastructure to create conducive learning environments

VISION:
Brigadier (Rtd) Boinett believes that the beauty of Kenya’s nature and culture should be accessible to all, not just a select few. His vision is to create an environment where people of all ages — students, teachers, children, adults —can easily connect with and appreciate the country’s rich heritage.

To bring this vision to life, he donated a section of his land in Eldoret to create a sanctuary for wildlife, offering a space for conservation and education, while providing a safe haven for animals identified by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) in need of protection.
